My guest in the Sonic Garage this week is mastering engineer David Glasser, founder of Airshow Mastering.
David, a two-time Grammy award winner, has over 40 years of experience as an engineer and has worked on a wide variety of cool projects. In 1997, David expanded Airshow and opened an amazing facility in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. Over that time, David has grown Airshow into one of the largest and most successful mastering studios in the United States.
For regular listeners of the show, David gets to work frequently with Jeffrey Norman on Grateful Dead projects and he most recently collaborated with Jeffrey on “30 Trips Around the Sun”. Airshow is an authorized Plangent Processes tape transfer facility so David gets to work closely with Jamie Howarth as well. David has successfully used the Plangent Process on many recent reissues and is very excited about the future of Plangent. Also, Sam Berkow has done all of the acoustical design work for David’s studios.
If you enjoy the show and gain inspiration from the amazing guests I get to interview, I would be very grateful if you would take a moment to subscribe (top right), and leave a rating and a review on iTunes.
