My special guest in The Sonic Garage this week is Tim Palmer!

Tim cut his teeth in the music business at London’s Utopia Studios where he got the chance to engineer and mix a number of albums by some of the biggest bands of the ’80’s.

His early experiences with synthpop and new wave music led directly to a very successful association with legendary singer-songwriter Robert Plant.  Tim worked with Robert on 4 albums, including ‘Now and Zen’, which is still Robert’s best-selling solo album to date.

Tim was also very fortunate to get to work closely with David Bowie, during his Tin Machine era.  As you might imagine, getting to work with David was a dream come true for Tim, and is most definitely one of the biggest highlights of his career thus far.

Over his 30 plus year career, Tim has worked with a great number of artists across many different genres of music and he continues to produce, engineer, and mix to this very day.

Tim now happily resides with his family in Austin, Texas where he has his own home-based studio – ’62 Studios, which is a hybrid studio that combines the very best of both the analog and digital worlds.

I hope you enjoy Tim’s interview!  Please remember to check out The Sonic Garage Facebook page this week for more interesting information about Tim, his career, and some of the amazing music he’s been instrumental in creating!

If you enjoy the show and gain inspiration from the amazing guests I get to interview, I would be very grateful if you would take a moment to subscribe (top right), and leave a rating and a review on iTunes.
