Episode 57 Paul Roessler, Part 2

Hey, thanks for stopping by this week!  Today I’m once again speaking with Paul Roessler, as we continue the conversation that we started last week.

In this installment, Paul talks about some of the unique artists he’s had the pleasure of working with over the last several years at Kitten Robot Studios, which is Paul’s own studio, located in Los Angeles.

Paul also reflects a bit on his punk rock years of the late 70’s through the early 80’s and we hear about the emotional roller coaster ride that was Paul’s existence during those years of his life.

What really came through loud and clear as I spoke with Paul is that he is a survivor and his love for making music and helping others capture their moments in time is something he really thrives on and lives for.

I hope you enjoy part two of Paul’s interview and please tune in next week for the third and final part of our conversation.

Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to listen to the show!

Episode 56 Paul Roessler, Part 1

This week I start a three part interview with musician, composer and producer Paul Roessler!

Paul has amassed a wealth of experiences over the course of his brilliant career and I am very thrilled that he took a few hours out of his busy schedule to speak with me.

Paul is a living legend of the Los Angeles punk rock scene of the late 1970’s through the early 1980’s and to this day he still most certainly carries with him that real do-it-yourself ethic that is a true hallmark of those who came up during the groundbreaking punk rock era of music.

Since 2011, Paul has owned his very own studio, Kitten Robot Studios in Los Angeles.  Amongst the cool local artists he’s been developing, Paul has also gotten the chance in recent years to be a part of projects that are receiving national, if not international attention on Little Steven’s Underground Garage radio station on SiriusXM.

Please enjoy Paul’s interview and be sure to tune in for the next two installments of our conversation as well!

Joining me in the Sonic Garage this week is audio engineer, producer, composer, and musician, Jack Miele!

Jack lives in New Orleans, Louisiana, and his studio is located inside the world famous Music Shed recording facility.  Jack’s love of music goes all of the way back to when he was a child, as he started listening to all kinds of music at a very young age, which inspired him to start learning how to play all of the songs he loved so much.

To this day, Jack is an accomplished and very busy musician, and he’s the guitarist and vocalist for two bands, The Molly Ringwalds, which is a superb 80’s music band, and the critically acclaimed original band The Morning Life, who have a new album coming out very soon!

Jack has produced and/or engineered a great number of albums for a wide range of talented and well known musicians, like the Zac Brown Band, Blues Traveler, Rickie Lee Jones, and Ani Difranco.

As a composer, Jack’s work has been featured on top television shows such as Anthony Bourdain’s “The Layover”, and on cable channels like ESPN, Sundance Channel, and IFC.  He worked as a music producer on “American Horror Story: Freakshow”, and he has also worked on several major motion pictures as well!

After speaking with Jack, it’s clear that he’s extremely passionate about music, and about making sure everything he works on is the very best that it can be!  Jack shared some very important insights into how and why he’s been so successful in his career, and I think that everyone who listens is going to learn something from Jack as well as be inspired by what he had to say.

Please enjoy Jack’s interview, and please be sure to subscribe to the show via iTunes or Stitcher, (top right), and please also take a moment to leave a rating and a review as well, I would really appreciate it, and it will help to grow the show!
